First Ontario Express Entry Draw in 2024 issued 2,552 PR invitations

Ontario Express Entry Draw in 2024
5/5 - (1 vote)

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted its inaugural Express Entry Draw for 2024 on January 11, extending invitations to an impressive 2,552 candidates for provincial nomination.

Candidates eligible for consideration were those who possessed valid Express Entry profiles established between January 11, 2023, and January 11, 2024. These individuals, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score falling within the range of 350 to 424, and experience in any of the 49 designated skilled trade occupations, were the recipients of the invitations.

It’s noteworthy that participants in the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream draw were not required to have a separate OINP profile. However, their existing profiles had to align with the eligible trade occupations for this particular draw.

Securing a provincial nomination through this process results in an additional 600 points being added to the candidate’s current Express Entry profile. Upon acceptance of the Ontario Provincial Nomination, the Express Entry CRS score of the invited profiles would surge to a range of 950 to 1,024.

In the course of 2023, the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream managed to invite a total of 7,512 profiles, marking a significant milestone in immigration opportunities for skilled individuals.
